I am a London-based baker specialising in bespoke wedding and celebration cakes. I am a one woman band which means that all of my cakes are completely handmade, by me, in my little kitchen in Bermondsey, which has a 5* Food Hygiene rating from Southwark Council.
Each of my cakes is designed as bespoke, and I will work closely with you to ensure it delivers on every level. While each cake is different, they all use organic ingredients and seasonal fruits and flavours in their sponges and fillings, and are decorated with beautiful fresh flowers, foliage and elegant gold leaf. I am a firm believer in using ingredients when they are at their very best, and that is why my flavour list is ordered by the seasons.
I trained at Leiths School of Food & Wine, and also work as a food stylist, home economist and recipe writer for a number of high street brands. You can also find me blogging over at .
'A wedding theme of skiing presented a challenging brief but Lucy’s proposal was so stylish. Four layers, the top one just 4”, created a mountain which was then populated with cute gingerbread chalets. Two skiers, made out of gold wire, contemplated their descent from the summit. Subtle green leaves and a touch of gold leaf created a tableau that guests just stared at. Cutting the cake triggered a fierce argument broke out as to which of the three flavours was the best. We had to call it a draw; they were all delicious.'
